Cops seek culprit in Glenwood Park robberies

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are searching for a man who robbed two people in Glenwood Park at gunpoint.

Surveillance footage shows a robbery crew in a black Honda Crossover with Florida tags.

Victim Herbert Marbury told Channel 2 Action News that one of the men pointed a gun in his face on Garrett Street in southeast Atlanta last week.

"At first I just dropped my wallet and then he said, 'Everything.' So I dropped my keys and he said, 'Where is the cellphone?' My cellphone was in my jacket so I just dropped my cellphone," Marbury said.

Seconds later while trying to get away, the robber came across a woman at a dead end street, police said.

Stephanie Rucker told Channel 2 the man shoved a gun in her face and took her cellphone.

"I think they were just kind of, 'How are we going to get out of here?' and then they saw this road and I was sitting there. I was just a sitting duck I guess," Rucker said.

Neither victim got a good look at the robber's face. The video shows he was wearing a brown jacket and jeans.

Police are hoping to use the surveillance footage and the description of the getaway car to make an arrest.
