Police find missing teen with Asperger's syndrome

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — Henry County police have found a 16-year-old girl with Asperger's syndrome who disappeared.

Police said Stockbridge High School student Julia Palmer left home early Friday.

Police alerted the public of the disappearanc, saying the girl may have been on foot in the Spring Valley Circle area of Stockbridge. She was wearing a purple top and blue jean capri pants when she disappeared, police said.

Channel 2's Wendy Corona was with authorities as a multi-agency search was underway into the afternoon. Palmer was found around 3 p.m. and taken to Piedmont Henry Hospital for observation.

Palmer also disappeared last year, but was found within hours. As a result, she was given a GPS, but authorities told Corona the bracelet was not with her when she disappeared Friday.
