Schools off lockdown as students face charges

North Cobb High School, at 3400 Old U.S. Highway 41, and Awtrey Middle School, at 3601 Nowlin Rd., were put on lockdown, just before 2 p.m.

COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Cobb County police said two schools are off lockdown and two students are facing charges Monday afternoon.

News Chopper 2 flew over North Cobb High School and Awtrey Middle Schoolin Kennesaw.

Police said a contractor working at a home in the area found two students skipping school in the house.

The contractor reported the students running back into the school.

The students are facing criminal trespassing charges.
