Two men - one in a green hat, the other in a Nike hoodie - attacked, punched, kicked and pummeled a man just trying to drop his car at the valet.

“I was totally surprised," the victim told Channel 2's Nefertiti Jaquez by phone. “I’m in a state of shock, it’s my life. I’m looking around the room and even the lady behind the counter is just looking.”

The 48-year-old businessman lives in Houston. He told Jaquez the part that bothered him the most is that hotel security was nowhere to be found when he was being robbed at gunpoint.

"No one was reacting like I was being robbed," the victim said.

It happened on Sept. 28 around 3 a.m. at the hotel along Courtland Street. The victim said he pulled up at the valet stand and couldn’t find anyone to park his car.

Seconds later, the suspects police say pulled out a gun and threatened to kill him if he didn’t give them his jewelry.

The victim tried to run inside the hotel for help, but the bad guys followed and snatched his necklace and Rolex watch.

The general manager of the hotel told Jaquez a statement will be released.
