ATLANTA — Atlanta police say a man is using a spark plug to break into cars in a matter of seconds. Police believe the thief is targeting cars with tinted windows, because once the window is broken the glass may not shatter.
Video obtained by Channel 2 Action News shows the thief in southwest Atlanta looking inside a vehicle with tinted windows. %

The man uses the spark plug to break it and the steals the car with the owner's backpack and laptop inside.
Police believe the same thief is breaking into other cars in southeast Atlanta on Chester Avenue. A home surveillance camera caught a clear picture of the car thief.
Neighbors determined to catch the thief have posted their own flyers with the man's face on them.
