Police say I-85 fatal drive-by was result of nightclub fight

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. - Police are searching for clues in a drive-by shooting on Interstate 85 early Sunday morning.

College Park police said they believe the shooting was preceded by an altercation at a DeKalb County night club, called Obsession.

Police said a Ford Crown Victoria crashed on Interstate 85 south near Old National Highway around 3:30 a.m. Two of the men inside had been shot by a passing motorist, police said.

The driver of the Crown Victoria, Michael Walker, was killed. A passenger was injured.

Police are hoping a photo of Walker will help patrons provide information about the altercation at the club.

“We have no idea what the fight was about. Once again, were going to the public. If anyone saw a confrontation with the victim, we ask that they call us with the information. You can remain anonymous,” Jeff Hightower of the College Park Police Department said.

Police asked that anyone with information call 404-761-3131.
