ATLANTA — A police officer was hit by a car near Lenox Square Wednesday morning.
The crash happened at Peachtree and Lenox roads around 9:50 a.m.
The officer was working a multi-vehicle accident and was standing in the median when a car struck an SUV, which then hit the officer. The officer was able to radio for help before a witness came to her aid.
The officer was injured but was alert, conscious and breathing when she was taken to the hospital, police say.
