Police offer $10K reward in chase that killed grandmother, 2 grandchildren

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. — The College Park Police Department is now offering a $10,000 reward for anyone who can lead them to the person that led police on a chase and caused a fatal wreck, killing a grandmother and two of her grandchildren.

Dorothy Wright, 75, and her two grandchildren, Cameron Cosner, 12, and Layla, 6, were heading to First Peter AME Church Sunday morning.

The trio never made it to the service because they were blindsided by a person who allegedly stole a black SUV from the Westin hotel in College Park.

Police chased him from College Park to southwest Atlanta. The high-speed chase ended on South Gordon Street and Rogers Avenue.

“The College Park Police Department is committed to exhausting all resources to identify and apprehend this suspect,” the department said in a news release Thursday.

“We want to know what the heck happened, where we lost a whole family going to church,” the children’s father, Douglas Partridge, said.

The Partridges say the chase wasn't worth the lives lost.

“One main question is why did this have to happen?” mother Joi Partridge said. “It's just a big why.”

The Partridges said they're looking into hiring their own independent investigator to dig into everything that happened surrounding this crash.

“They wiped my whole bloodline from me,” Joi Partridge said. “They wiped my mom and my only two kids."
