Police: Man shot woman through apartment window

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County police say a man walked up to an apartment window and shot a woman inside.

Police said the woman was rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her leg.

The shooting happened at a downstairs unit at the Crestview apartment complex on Treecrest Parkway Friday morning.

The victim's sister said she got into an argument with the gunman minutes before he shot into the apartment. She identified the victim as 20-year-old Sandra Venderpool.

Police have not released a motive or a description of the shooter.
