Authorities say a man and a woman are dead after a shooting involving a police officer.
Gwinnett County police said officers responded to a domestic dispute on Old Shadburn Ferry Road early Wednesday morning.
When the officer walked up to the house, a woman came out of the home and approached the officer, police said. At that time, a man came out of the house and shot the woman, killing her, police said.
Police said the officer then shot the man, who fell to the ground and is dead.
It is unclear if the fatal shot to the man came from the officer, or if he fell on his own weapon and discharged it.
Police said the shooting is under investigation.
