ATLANTA - Atlanta police are searching for a man who shot a man while he was sitting in his car waiting for his fast-food order.
Police told Channel 2’s Darryn Moore the shooting happened just before 3 a.m. at the Checkers on Campbellton Road.
An employee told Moore that the victim came through the drive-thru window and ordered food. As his food was being prepared, he parked his car, the employee said.
That’s when the gunman walked up to the window of the Checkers like he was going to place an order, but then walked away, the employee said. Then, the employee heard a single gunshot.
The victim was rushed to his hospital. Later on Friday, police told Channel 2 that the victim had died.
Police said the victim was able to provide a partial description of the shooter before his death.
Police said they have not determined a motive for the shooting as they search for the gunman.
