ATLANTA - Authorities are trying to determine motive in the death of a man found inside a southwest Atlanta apartment complex.
Police said a man who appears to be in his 20s was shot and killed at the Brentwood Village apartments on Alison Court late Thursday night.
Police said they received a call of shots fired and found the man dead from several gunshot wounds.
Investigators and officers worked through the night with no street lights, searching for evidence left behind by the gunman.
Police are not sure if robbery was the motive for the slaying.
"It's hard to tell. There was some disarray in the apartment. That is a possibility," Capt. Paul Guerrucci said.
A van from the medical examiner's office removed the body early Friday morning.
