Police ID suspects in Fayetteville restaurant robbery

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. — Police have identified three suspects accused of an armed robbery at a Fayetteville restaurant.

Fayetteville police arrested Alvin James Scott, 26, of Jonesboro, in connection with the Friday night robbery at the China Cafe, on Glynn Street.

Police said information from a concerned relative led officers to the body of Alonzo Starks, 25, of Morrow. He was found inside an abandoned home. Police said Starks was shot by one of the restaurant employees during the robbery. Starks died of his injuries.

The third suspect, Leandro Bernard Johnson, 27, of Ellenwood, is still at-large.

Police said the suspects may be linked to another Chinese restaurant robbery that happened days ago in Fayetteville.

An employee who was shot during Friday's China Cafe robbery is in critical condition.
