Police chase ends with crash, arrest

ATLANTA —
A police chase that spanned two counties ended with a crash and arrest Tuesday night.

It all started when Cobb County police spotted a white Acura believed to be stolen out of Atlanta. When police tried to pull over the driver, he took off, police spokesman Mike Bowman said.

Officers followed the car until it crashed at a BP gas station on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway near Interstate 285 in northwest Atlanta. Police arrested one man but said someone else in the car got out and disappeared.

Police used a helicopter and police dog in their search, but the second person was still unaccounted for by the next morning.

No one was hurt in the chase, but a wrecker hauled a damaged police squad car away from the crash site.
