Police: Biscuit lover, angry over price increase, breaks glass at Brookhaven Waffle House

BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — Yes, they have sausage biscuits at Waffle House. And yes, you’ll be arrested if you get angry about the price going up and break a glass door.

Just ask Brookhaven police.

The department detailed the weekend incident in a Facebook post starting with "tip of the day" and accompanied by the hashtag "#sundaymorningshenanigans."

“When the Waffle House employee tells you the sausage biscuit is no longer $1 and the new price is $1.50 please refrain from punching the glass door open while storming out,” the post said. “Glass tends to shatter when met with such force and you will be swiftly taken into custody.”

The police report says the man, Mitchell Harris Feinberg, told officers he “barely kicked the door” causing it to shatter. He also told officers he kicked the door because “he did not want to open the greasy door with his hand.”

Surveillance video showed Feinberg throwing his bill on the floor of the restaurant as he stands up from his booth, the police report says.

Feinberg was later taken down by officers outside the restaurant on Peachtree Road.

He was treated at DeKalb Medical Center for injuries to his thumb and scratches on his legs.

Feinberg was charged with damage to business property.
