Police believe DeKalb Co. teen was lured to her death

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga — Police believe a 17-year-old girl was lured to her death.

Alexis Malone was murdered on May 10. Police found her body on Agape Way in Decatur.

Channel 2 Action News gathered new details about the crime in court on Wednesday when two defendants had their first appearances.

A judge said the warrant for Kayla Dixon's arrest says she convinced Malone to go to a park on May 10 with Oslusha Smith, Cutrez Johnson and Kemontay Cullins, knowing Malone would be killed.

Investigators believe they killed Malone because she knew something about a murder that took place at a party May 3.

Dixon and Smith were in court on Wednesday. A judge arraigned Cullins and Johnson on Tuesday.

Dixon is facing a single count of murder.

Smith is charged with two counts of murder.  Along with Malone's death, he is charged in connection with the party murder.

Smith nor Dixon have a bond.  Both are expected to be in court late June for preliminary hearings.

Police believe, in an act of revenge for Malone's murder, a group of people shot three women and killed a 9-month-old boy.

Investigators are looking for the suspects tied to the third murder.
