ATLANTA - Atlanta police are investigating a triple shooting that left one person dead.
Police said the shooting took place just after midnight on Monday in the parking lot of the Rosa Burney Park apartments on Windsor Street in southwest Atlanta.
“The only thing we’ve learned is that people heard gunshots and looked out and saw some people scattering,” Atlanta police Lt. Paul Guerrucci said.
When officers arrived, the shooting victims had already been taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in cars.
One woman told Channel 2’s Darryn Moore outside Grady Memorial Hospital that her brother was shot in the hand. He was later arrested on unrelated charges.
“We don’t really have a lot of information to give us a clear understanding of what actually occurred,” Guerrucci said.
