ATLANTA - Police are investigating a deadly shooting that took place at Underground Atlanta.
Investigators said a man in his 20s got into an argument with another person in Kenny’s Alley.
"It does not appear to be a random shooting. It appears the individuals have some kind of nexus with each other. Had an argument and it escalated into the shooting," said Atlanta Police Department Lt. Paul Guerrucci.
The argument ended with the shooting. The man was rushed to the hospital where he died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Police said they are canvassing the area looking for suspects and evidence. Detectives said they hope the shooting was captured on surveillance footage.
"We have spoken with several people who have provided bits of information and we're in the process of verifying the information," Guerrucci said.
Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS.
