ATLANTA — Police are investigating a deadly shooting in southwest Atlanta.

Investigators told Channel 2's Darryn Moore that two men may have been arguing before the shooting on White Street about 2 a.m. Monday.

The victim was shot in the chest and died at the hospital, according to police. His father identified him as 20-year-old Joshua Jackson.

Family members told Moore that the suspect and victim are longtime friends.

Jackson's father said his son was about to celebrate a birthday and serve as best man in his brother's wedding.
