ATLANTA, Ga. - Police say a suspected drunk driver hit an officer in a crash that tied up traffic for hours on the Downtown Connector.
The accident happened about 3 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 75/85 at University Avenue.
Some drivers were stuck in the congestion so long they opened their car doors.
Authorities said the officer received minor injuries and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
