A Newton County Sheriff’s Office detention officer is behind bars after authorities said he had a having inappropriate contact with a minor.
NEWTON COUNTY, Ga. — Sheriff’s officials said Jacob Allen Vanderzwart was arrested following a complaint they received on Aug. 23. He is accused of sending and receiving pornographic photos with 16-year-old girl.
He was arrested and charged with furnishing pornography to a minor.
“Vanderzwart was a Newton County Sheriff’s Office detention officer, however, after his arrest; he was immediately terminated and is no longer an employee,” sheriff’s officials said.
