Mom, son rescue abandoned dog

WALTON COUNTY, Ga. — A dog left abandoned outside of a restaurant has a new home thanks to a mother and son.

Debbie Storm and her son spotted a man tying the Poodle mix to a tree outside of a Snellville Golden Corral before he took off in a car Wednesday night.  The dog, affectionately called G.C., is about two or three years old, Storm said.

"My son felt really bad and I wouldn't do that to a child and don't do that animals either because there's always some resources that could help you," Storm told Channel 2's Tom Regan.

Worried that the dog might be taken to the pound and put down, Storm and her son took G.C. to their Loganville home. But she isn't sure if G.C., who isn't neutered, will be a good fit for her other dogs, although that hasn't swayed her son's desire to keep G.C.

"My son really wants to keep him," Storm said.

Storm said anyone would be lucky to get G.C., who is house trained and full of tricks.

She hopes to find an owner for G.C. If not, Loganville might be its permanent home.
