ATLANTA — A stalled-out cold front brought showers and a few storms to the metro Tuesday. The front clashed with tropical air that has moved in from the south, causing storms to pop throughout the metro Tuesday.
Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Glenn Burns said most of the metro will remain dry throughout the evening Tuesday night.
“There could be a few spotty, light rain showers early Wednesday morning, mainly in Atlanta and along I-20 to the east,” Burns said.

Any chance of rain of storms throughout Wednesday afternoon will fall south of I-20 toward middle Georgia.
“It should be a fairly nice Wednesday afternoon, only a slight risk of an isolated shower,” Burns said.

Any threat of rain will move out by Wednesday evening.
The next chance of any significant amount of rain to affect the metro comes over the weekend, with Burns predicting a 60 percent chance of showers for Saturday and Sunday.
