Police said officers arrested two teens near the Lindbergh MARTA station after they tried to rob a man Tuesday night. Last week, officers arrested three men for another armed robbery in the area.

Police gave Channel 2’s Amy Napier Viteri surveillance video of a white sedan pulling onto West Wesley Road on Feb. 13. The video shows the car’s lights flip on moments after police say the men inside robbed a couple at gunpoint outside their home.
Atlanta police Lt. Rod Woody said his precinct has dedicated six investigators to focus on a spike in armed robberies in Buckhead in recent weeks.
“Six of them a couple weeks ago. Five last week and two this week,” Woody said.

On Saturday, Channel 2 Action News spoke to a woman who said a man held her up at gunpoint in her own driveway in Collier Heights.
“He put the gun to my temple and demanded my money and cellphone,” victim Britt Poer said.
Wednesday night, Atlanta police Maj. Van Hobbs visited the Collier Heights neighborhood meeting and talked with neighbors concerned about the recent crimes. On Tuesday night, police chased down two 16-year-olds they say tried to rob a man at gunpoint on Morosgo Drive.
The victim told Viteri by phone in Spanish that the robberies are a big problem. He said they had a gun and asked for his money and his phone before another man came and chased them off.
Police did find a stolen gun Tuesday when they took the two teens into custody.
