Marietta police looking for Motel 6 robber


Marietta police are looking for this man for allegedly robbing the Motel 6 on Delk Road.

MARIETTA, Ga. - Marietta police detectives are investigating a robbery at the Motel 6 on 2360 Delk Road.   

Police said the incident happened on Dec. 27 at about 10 a.m.

They said a black male walked up to the registration counter of the motel and confronted the front desk clerk.  The alleged robbed told the clerk he had a gun in his right jacket pocket and demanded money from the register. Police said the clerk complied with the suspect's demands and then fled into an office area and out a back exit. The suspect chased the clerk, but she was able to escape unharmed. 

The suspect was last seen in the parking lot of the hotel on foot walking toward Delk Road.

The Marietta Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect through the video footage obtained of the robbery. Although the suspect did not show a firearm, he should be considered potentially armed and dangerous, police said.
