Manhunt under way for former church worker accused of molesting child

DECATUR, Ga. — A manhunt is under way for a former church worker accused of molesting a young girl.

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office said Samuel McCullough is wanted in Fulton and Clayton counties as well and is considered to be dangerous.

They are also trying to find out if there are other victims.

DeKalb sheriff's investigators told Channel 2's Ryan Young, McCullough worked security at World Changers Church International for a brief period of time.

"He was employed at a couple of churches, World Changers down in College Park being one of them," said Adrion Bell with the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office.

But now he is wanted on child molestation charges.

"One of those alleged cases even occurred on the child's 10th birthday," Bell said.

According to investigators, he molested the child over several years, starting when the child was 8 years old.

"It is a very disturbing case. It is a case that sheriff's office investigators definitely want to get this guy off the streets so there won't be other victims," Bell said.

Investigators said they mother and child have moved out of the area for their own safety. Investigators ask if you know of McCullough's whereabouts to call them at 404-298-8100.
