DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. - Douglas County authorities said a 28-year-old man was hit by a train Saturday in Douglasville.
The coroner told Channel 2 Action News Assan Reavis was hit around noon as he walked along the tracks of Dallas Highwa and Bankhead Highway. Reavis was wearing headphones and walked onto the track where he was hit by a freight train. The coroner said Reavis apparently did not hear the train.
The train was operated by Norfolk Southern.
