Man uses forklift to steal car from local dealership, police say

ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. — Police said the brazen thief was caught on video using a forklift to bust through a fence and steal a car from a local dealership.

The man made a clean getaway overnight on Tuesday.

Twisted metal still marks the spot at Ginn Chevrolet in Covington.

The dealership parked wreckers at the gaping hole to keep the rest of the vehicles on the lot.

Police said the thief spent nearly an hour on the property, choosing the right ride.
