Man says stranger holding cellphone underneath fiancée's skirt led to fight

COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — The Coweta County Sheriff's Department says a fight broke out inside a discount store. The man who told Channel 2 he landed the first punch wasn't arrested, he says because of what the other guy was doing.

The sheriff's department confirmed to Channel 2's Jade Hernandez there was a fight and an arrest at the Five Below store. An employee told Hernandez her manager called police after the fight broke out.

Jamie Harrison said he was the one who initiated it. And he said he was the one who landed the first blow on a man bent down next to his fiancée and her daughter.

"When I saw his cellphone under her dress, it kind of shocked me and I didn't know what to do. I was paralyzed," Harrison said.

Harrison said he saw the man crouching down with his smartphone held low. He said the phone was directed underneath his fiancée's skirt.  That was the reason why he said he wasn't the one arrested, even though he was the one who landed the punches.

"I said, 'Hey,' and I immediately said, 'Call the police' and I struck the man," Harrison said.

"I didn't even know what was happening. I heard my fiancé scream and then I turned around and I just couldn't believe it.  I just couldn't believe it," said Harrison's fiancée Vickie Crenshaw.

The couple told Hernandez the man arrested had a young boy with him in the store who referred to him as dad.

Channel 2 confirmed to a Coweta County sheriff's lieutenant who confirmed there was a fight and arrest at this discount store.

Investigators are still trying to determine charges against the man arrested.

The sheriff's department is expected to release more information about what happened Monday.
