Man killed outside Virginia Highland restaurant

ATLANTA — Police are investigating a fatal shooting outside a popular Atlanta restaurant.
 
Police were called to the area of Barnett Street and Ponce de Leon Avenue just after 2 a.m. Thursday.
 
Officers found a man dead inside a car outside of the Real Chow Baby restaurant. Police said he was shot in the chest.
 
Channel 2's Darryn Moore saw officers speaking with several people outside the restaurant.
 
A witness told Moore the gunman robbed a man and the victim before the shooting, and then ran off.

Police say the restuarant was not involved in the shooting in any way.
 
Police have not provided a description of the shooter.
