Man dies in shooting at DeKalb Co. strip mall

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County police are searching for two men who shot and killed another man in front of a shopping center.

Police are looking for an older model Chevy Impala. They believe two men got into the car after they shot a man near a busy gas station on Snapfinger Woods Drive just after noon on Thursday.

The 20-year-old victim was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Investigators and K-9 officers searched for evidence in the area, possibly looking for the gun used in the shooting.

"No indication right now that it was random or a mugging. We're not sure at this time," Lt. Mark Levigne said.

Police said they were able to identify the victim and notify his family, but they are not releasing his name.
