Man facing charges in deadly motorcycle crash

CUMMING, Ga — Authorities have charged a pickup truck driver with misdemeanor vehicular homicide in a crash that killed a 19-year-old motorcycle rider in metro Atlanta.

Authorities told Channel 2 Action News Cameron James Fullerton, of Cumming, was killed Friday afternoon when his motorcycle was struck by a Ford pickup truck attempting to turn into a store parking lot.

Karleen Chalker of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office says Fullerton was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene. The truck's driver, 34-year-old Jonathan Troy Sorrells, wasn't injured.

Sorrells was charged with failure to yield in addition to misdemeanor vehicular homicide. It was unknown Saturday if he had an attorney.
