Man shot at midtown apartment dies

ATLANTA — A man believed to be in his 20s was shot and killed Monday afternoon outside a Midtown apartment building, Atlanta police said.

Investigators said the shooting happened outside in the breezeway of the Ford Factory Lofts in the 600 block of Ponce de Leon Avenue. Officers arrived at the scene at about 5 p.m.

Police said the victim, who remained unidentified Monday night, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in extremely critical condition.
