LITHONIA, Ga. — A break in a 24-inch water main caused a sinkhole to develop just outside a large DeKalb County water tank.
The broken line is a main coming out of the tank near Layton Drive.
Crews are working to remove asphalt around the break to make repairs.
The rushing water ran through a nearby subdivision, but no homes have lost water service.
A separate underground pipe also broke nearby on Parkway Drive. The street flooded and was closed Tuesday morning.
