Johns Creek police search for driver who took out power lines

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — A passing truck took out power lines in Johns Creek, leaving a mess in its aftermath.

Around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, lanes of Medlock and State Bridge roads were shut down. At one point, traffic was backed up for miles, but the lanes reopened within the hour.

Johns Creek police told Channel 2's Mike Petchenik a landscaping truck snagged power lines, and a big rig carried them. They said four vehicles were damaged as a result.

Police are still looking for the driver who snagged the lines. They said that driver will face charges when caught.
