Driver killed in wreck on I-75 in Marietta

MARIETTA, Ga. — Authorities say the driver of a Jeep that overturned in a Monday afternoon accident on I-75 has died.

News Chopper 2 flew over the scene on I-75 north at the south loop in Marietta.

There were multiple vehicles involved that received minor damage, but the Jeep Wrangler, which was seen sitting on its top appeared to get the worse. According to initial reports, the Jeep driver was thrown from the vehicle.

Channel 2 Action News is working to confirm the status of other drivers involved.

The crash caused a backup through I-75 north through Windy Hill Road, blocking three lanes of traffic.
