Isolated showers today, widespread rain likely this week

High temperatures are expected to be in the upper 70s today.

ATLANTA — A cold front is approaching from the north and will bring some isolated showers Monday, according to Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz.

“We’ll be near the record high of 78 degrees this afternoon,” Nitz said.

According to Nitz, the rain chances increase Tuesday, and widespread rain is likely Wednesday into Thursday.

“Sunshine returns Friday. Temperatures will be cooler by midweek, with highs in the 60s,” Nitz said.
