We're using advanced weather technology to pinpoint who will see the best chance for rain, on Channel 2 Action News This Morning starting at 4:30 a.m.

"Which means isolated strong to severe storms possible and wind gusts of 40 to 60 mph," Nitz said.

The threat level then increases heading into Thursday afternoon. Most of north Georgia will be under a Level 2 threat level.

That means the entire area could see scattered severe storms with wind gusts of more than 60 mph, along with heavy rain and frequent lightning.

Temperatures will pick up heading into the weekend.

Friday is expected to be hot and dry with a high around 90.

Rain chances increase over the weekend with highs around 90 as well.
