Isolated severe storms possible throughout Thursday evening

ATLANTA — It was a rainy afternoon in parts of metro Atlanta and some of those scattered showers and storms are expected to continue through the evening.

Severe Weather Team 2's Brad Nitz said damaging wind gusts are the primary threat as isolated strong to severe storms are possible throughout the evening, with temperatures expected to remain in the 80s.

“Even late tonight, overnight and into tomorrow morning we’ll keep some scattered showers around the metro,” Nitz said.

That chance for rain will continue to stick around the next couple of days, as we head into the weekend.
