Invaders shoot, graze woman during home attack

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. — Peachtree City police are investigating a brazen home invasion that ended with a woman being grazed in the head by a bullet.

The incident happened just before 10:30 p.m. Friday at a home on Woodland Drive.

Police said two men went into the home through an unlocked door and confronted a woman at gunpoint inside.

Investigators said the men demanded money from the woman. Another man inside the house walked in on the confrontation and one of the invaders pointed a shotgun at him, ordering the man to get down on the floor.

While that was going on, the woman made a run for it and was able to get out of the house.

The other intruder chased the woman out of the house and fired a shot at her, grazing her head.

The woman was able to make it to a neighbor's house and call police.

The two men fled from the house and are still on the run.

The two intruders are described as African-American males in their mid-twenties with dark complexions. Both are about 5'8" to 6' tall, with a medium to slender builds. Investigators said the men were driving a dark-colored pickup truck.

There was a third person home at the time of the incident, but he was not involved.

Police are still trying to figure out a motive behind the attack.
