ATLANTA - The government informant accused of aiding in the shooting death of a local rapper actually appeared with the victim in a reality TV pilot weeks before the killing.
Mani Chulpayev was shooting the show with a Los Angeles producer about his life as a colorful car dealer.
Rapper Lil Phat, who died in what prosecutors call "an assassination" in June 2012, appears on video speaking to Chulpayev about a car.
Channel 2's Jim Strickland obtained the video which Chulpayuev claims shows Phat was a valued customer, not a target for death.
Four other men, including one of Chulpayev's business partners, are also charged in the incident.
