Students released from hospital after eating unknown candy

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — Local middle school students have been released from the hospital after eating unidentified candy.

It happened at Austin Road Middle School in Stockbridge in Henry County Friday afternoon.

The students were being checked after eating candy and feeling ill.

Officials said the candy was brought to school by another student. It is unknown what was in the candy.

Officials said the student who took the candy to school could face charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
