Henry Co. police find missing autistic teen

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. — Henry County police have found a missing 16-year-old girl with autism in a wooded area.

Police said Julie Palmer disappeared from her residence on Spring Valley Circle in Stockbridge sometime after 7:35 a.m. Tuesday. She was waiting to catch the school bus, but never arrived at school. She has Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism.

Police said the girl was found around 6 p.m.

Julie disappeared last week and was found safe the same day. Police said her mother was away at a new job when Julia left for school on Tuesday.
