HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Gainesville Middle School has been evacuated after school officials said a bomb threat was found written on a bathroom wall.
The Gainesville City Police Department is sweeping the school.
“We will not be releasing students to parents at this time. Our first priority is to get the students in a safe environment and fed,” Gainesville police said in a statement.
School officials said parents are advised that their students are safe, out of the building, and being supervised by school and district staff. When an "all clear" is issued, parents will be contacted again.
