Gwinnett police seeking owner of Vietnam War veteran ring

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Investigators with the Gwinnett County Police Robbery Unit are asking for help in locating the owner of a Vietnam veteran ring.

This ring was discovered during the execution of a search warrant of a room rented by, 27-year-old Tyone S. Davis, at the Windgate Hotel at 3450 Venture Parkway in Duluth.

The execution of this search warrant was in connection to an armed robbery that took place on Oct. 7 at Jen’s Hallmark located at, 2100 Riverside Parkway in Lawrenceville. During the search, investigators discovered several stolen items linked to other burglaries, unrelated to the robbery, around Gwinnett County. One of those items discovered is a Vietnam ring (class ring style). Investigators were unable to link this ring to any of the reported burglaries.

Investigators believe this ring to be of sentimental value to someone and would like to return it to the rightful owner.

The ring is silver in color and with distinct engravings, that only the owner could describe. Anyone with information regarding the ownership of this ring is encouraged to call Gwinnett County Police at 770-513-5331 or 770-513-5300.
