Woman uses steak knife during cell phone store robbery

Surveillance video shows a woman with a steak knife robbing a Boost Mobile store in Norcross.

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett County police are asking for help to identify a woman who robbed a cell phone store using a steak knife.

Gwinnett County police said on March 18 at about 3:15 p.m. the woman walked into the Boost Mobile store located at 6070 S. Norcross Tucker Road in unincorporated Norcross.

Store surveillance video shows the woman staying in the store, pretending to be a customer for almost an hour.

Police said she eventually asked an employee to see an iPhone 6, then pulled out a steak knife and demanded the phone.

She left the store and no vehicle was seen leaving the area, police said.

The woman is described as white or Hispanic, with dark brown hair that is lighter toward the ends and cut short in the back. She is about 5 feet 4 inches tall and about 135 pounds.

She has a mark or tattoo on her left temple, police said.
