Gwinnett County family increases reward to find mother of 3

A Gwinnett County family is increasing the reward in an attempt to find a missing mother of three.

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — For weeks, Keith Reed has been spending his days passing out fliers and following leads in the disappearance of his daughter, Tosha Herron.

“The not knowing in this is worse than torture. It really is,” Reed said.

The family took a small break for Thanksgiving, though the questions of what happened and where she might be are hanging over everything.

“How do you not get together and gain strength from each other during this time?” Stacie Nelson said.

The mother of three has not been seen since Oct. 7. She was in the north Georgia mountains to visit a friend.  Her crumpled car was found down a ravine off Blood Mountain, and her purse nearby. Several searches of the mountainside by ground and air have not found her.

“We as a family truly believe in our hearts that she was taken by somebody from that mountain and from there only God knows,” Keith Reed said.

The family says it does have something to be thankful for. Last week, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation joined in the case.

“We are very appreciative that the GBI is going to be able to get involved with their resources and expertise,” Nelson said.

The family also increased the reward to $10,000, praying it will bring in the tip that will lead them to their loved one and bring her home to her two young sons and a very worried family.

“If you could please share this on Facebook, let everyone know, absolutely. Everything helps,” Reed said. ”We are just trying to not give up hope.”
