GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A months-long DEA investigation has resulted in 10 arrested and hundreds of pounds of drugs off the streets in metro Atlanta.
The DEA and the Gwinnett County District Attorney Office’s Drug Task Force said the investigation began in Coweta County and in February, centered in Gwinnett County.
Law enforcement seized more than 400 pounds of methamphetamine, 175 pounds of cocaine, $2 million cash and 10 firearms.

Nicolas Fernandez-Lopez, Jose Heredia Gonzalez, Carlos Wilson Paz, Carmelo Reyes-Lozano, Cesar Leonel Perez-Flores, Raul Solorio-Campos, Rony Omar Martine-Colon, Tracy Price, Angel Santiago and Kevin Ernest Contreras were all indicted.
Those arrested were members of a Mexican based drug trafficking and money laundering organization.
Besides those indicted in Gwinnett, an additional 25 others were arrested in Coweta, Clayton, Barrow, Henry and Fulton counties, plus North Carolina.
