NEWTON COUNTY, Ga. - The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a school bus.
The crash happened on Highway 36 in Newton County on Friday afternoon. The GSP said the bus crashed into a car, and the car driver died. There were no reports of injuries involving children, the GSP said.
A Newton County School representative said the bus was transporting students from Indian Creek Middle School to their homes. The head-on collision happened on Moore’s Road and Hwy 36, the representative said.
