ATLANTA — Better bundle up, Georgia! Most of the state will feel some of the coldest temperatures Georgia has had in almost six months.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan said temperatures dropped into the low 40s across the metro Sunday and northeast Georgia mountains saw temps in the 30s.
Sunday morning was breezy, but the wind eased off as the day went on with highs in the upper 50s and low 60s.
Severe Weather Team 2 will be tracking the trend of cooler temperatures on Channel 2 Action News This Morning, starting at 4:30 a.m.

With clear skies and dry air, temperatures fell quickly after dark. Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Katie Walls said the metro will see temps in the upper-30s overnight. There is a freeze warning overnight in the northeast Georgia mountains.
The next system moves in late this week bringing more clouds and increasing rain chances.
There is a possibility some areas stay in the 40s for highs on Friday, according to Monahan.
LATE WEEK FORECAST: After lots of sunshine through the midweek, a cool wedge will build over the southeast as an area of low pressure moves to our south.
